*What does “low PUFA” mean and why is it important?

PUFA stands for polyunsaturated fatty acids - these are the unstable oils (linoleic acid) found in most seed and vegetable oils. Because they break down easily, they can create stress and irritation in the body and on the skin.

That’s why we go low PUFA: avoiding seed oils and instead choosing stable, nourishing fats like cocoa butter, shea butter, mango butter etc. These support the skin’s natural barrier, keep moisture locked in, and protect against damage - making them especially important during menopause, when skin can be more sensitive and in need of extra care.
